Art Vistas Program

Art Vistas exposes children to fine art and hands-on techniques, using the Art Vistas Unlimited curriculum from 1984. The Marshall Lane PTA avidly supports the program by providing an opportunity for volunteer parent docents to teach lessons and assist all children in creating artwork.vArt Vistas helps to build and grow students’ creativity, artistic confidence, critical thinking, experimentation, and cultural exposure through art.z

Volunteer Commitment:
● 1.5 hr pre-lesson prep (preparing for lesson, making samples, gathering supplies)
● 1 hr lesson per month
● 2-3 volunteer parents per class
● sign up with your classroom teacher

Volunteer Responsibilities:
● Coordinate with the class teacher and schedule lessons
● Prep required supplies and make lesson sample
● Conduct Art Vista lessons
● Clean up after the lesson
● Support class coordination for the Mustang Spring Art Show

All volunteers need to complete a mandatory volunteer application prior to entering campus for repetitive volunteering purposes.
